What we use
- Analytics — [PLACEHOLDER: analytics provider] sets [PLACEHOLDER: cookie names, or “no cookies” if using a cookieless analytics tool] to count visits in aggregate.
- Preferences (local storage) — small values remembered by your browser for convenience, e.g. dismissed notices and interface state. These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
- WordPress cookies — only if you log in or comment (session and comment-author cookies). Ordinary visitors do not receive them.
- Affiliate destinations — when you click through to a provider, that provider (not us) may set its own cookies to attribute the referral. Their cookie policies apply on their sites.
What we do not use
No advertising networks, no cross-site tracking pixels, no sale of browsing data. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm this stays true if an ad network is ever added — this page must be updated first.]
How to control cookies
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (all major browsers allow per-site rules).
- Use your browser's private/incognito mode to discard cookies after each visit.
- Clear local storage via your browser's site-data settings.
Blocking cookies does not break reading this site; tools that remember preferences will simply forget them.
